Pair accused of gunning down man during OfferUp sale

HOUSTON – Two people were charged Tuesday in connection with the Christmas Eve shooting death of a man at a southwest Houston park.

The shooting was reported about 2:45 p.m. Dec. 24, 2016, at 5922 Beaconridge Drive.

According to Houston police, Nerbert Frelow, 24, of Houston, arranged to meet two people, identified as Jeremiah Sanders, 18, and Byron Coleman, 17, to sell them an item he listed on the mobile classifieds app OfferUp.

Police said that during the meeting Sanders and Coleman shot Frelow several times and then fled the scene on foot.

Frelow died at the scene.

Police said Sanders and Coleman were later identified as suspects in Frelow’s death, and they admitted their role in the crime.

A third person was also questioned in connection with the case, but was released.
