Man accused of robbing store at knifepoint

HOUSTON – A 22-year-old man has been arrested and charged with aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon after deputies said he robbed a store in the 10900 block of Jones Road on Dec. 11 around 5:15 p.m.

Julian Jimenez is accused of entering the store and demanding money. He pulled out a large knife and threatened the complainant, grabbed cash from the register, took the complainant's phone and then left the scene on foot.

While deputies were investigating the robbery, they checked with a business next door to the one that was robbed and found video of Jimenez purchasing cigarettes and beer inside that business just seconds prior to the robbery.

While obtaining a copy of the video, Jimenez came into that store again wearing the same clothing and was detained without incident by deputies.

He was then identified by deputies as Jimenez.

“Julian Jimenez was arrested, charged with aggravated robbery, and booked into the Harris County Jail. His bond was set at $30,000 out of the 180th District Court,” Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

Jimenez is being held in the Harris County Jail.
