Man dies after being shot in NW Harris County

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man attempted to save his friend by driving him to the hospital after he was shot Tuesday in northwest Harris County, deputies said.

According to deputies, the man was shot multiple times around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at an unknown location by an unknown person.

The friend put the man in his car and attempted to drive straight to the hospital, but the man’s condition apparently got worse, officials said.

The friend stopped at the Shell gas station on FM 529 at Fry Road and called 911, according to authorities.
The man was taken to Cy-Fair hospital where he died.

Deputies are investigating the shooting.
