Police: Contractor lured to house, shot by robbers

HOUSTON – A contractor was lured to a vacant house where he was robbed and shot in the leg, according to police.

Police said two men and possibly one woman asked a contractor to stop by their house at 1911 Concourse Drive to give them an estimate on some work.

The contractor arrived to the house at 1:45 p.m. to find that the house was vacant and that the people inside only wanted his money, police said.

After the accused robbers demanded him to hand over his money, the contractor refused, so they shot him in the leg, according to authorities.

The contractor shot was taken to Ben Taub Hospital in stable condition, according to authorities.

The three accused robbers got away, police said.
