Man hit, killed in middle of traffic in northeast Harris County


HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man was killed Wednesday night when deputies say he tried to cross FM 1960 in northeast Harris County. 

According to investigators, the man walked into oncoming traffic on FM 1960 and Oak Timbers at around 9:45 p.m. He was hit and killed by a pickup truck driving west. 

The driver told deputies that he tried to stop, but it was too late. He waited at the scene until deputies arrived.

Investigators said alcohol was not a factor in the accident. 

No charges are expected against the driver.
