KATY, Texas – A Katy Independent School District band instructor was fired after Katy High School administrators became aware of inappropriate photos of the instructor being circulated around the school.
According to a statement from the school district, an investigation found that the instructor lost a personal cellphone shortly before the start of the school year.

The phone was found and students began circulating photos that were stored on the phone.
The students who distributed the photos are being disciplined by the school. The instructor, who was fired on Sept. 15, will not return to the district.
