Shortly after being notified, a deputy said he saw the vehicle described driving past him in the 5200 block of FM 1960.

The deputy said he attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver took off and eventually stopped shortly after a brief chase.

The man in the vehicle refused to exit. He sat there for five minutes before finally getting out of the vehicle with one hand in the air and the other hidden behind his back, according to authorities.

“The driver refused to show deputies his right hand after exiting the vehicle. He then turned and fled from them on foot. After a short foot pursuit, deputies were able to take the driver into custody safely,” Constable Mark Herman said.

Harris County Precinct 4 deputies describe the driver as a juvenile male who was charged with felony evading arrest and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
