Man steals cash register from N. Houston restaurant

HOUSTON – Police are searching for the man responsible for robbing a restaurant in the 9700 block of West Montgomery Road on June 2 around 1:39 p.m.

The man entered the business and threatened to shoot an employee if she did not give him money from the cash drawer, according to police.

The man reached over the counter, took the cash register and ran out the front door, police said.

He left the scene in an unknown direction.

The man is described as black, approximately 20 to 28 years old, 6 feet to 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighing 150 to 170 pounds. He was wearing a dark-colored shirt with “Emmett Till” written on the back, blue shorts and red shoes. He did not show a pistol during the robbery.
