Arrest made in decoration, patio furniture thefts

HOUSTON – A woman who authorities said was caught on video stealing holiday decorations and patio furniture from homes in the Humble area has been arrested.

Carley Williams, 30, is charged with theft. Her bond was set at $1,500.

The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable's Office said deputy constables received several tips after the video was shown on its social media pages, as well as the KPRC 2 Facebook page and Click2Houston.com, and Williams was identified as the woman in the video.

In one video, Williams can be seen taking a wreath off a door and a welcome sign off a wall.

"We want to thank our citizens and media outlets for helping us get this suspect identified so that criminal charges could be filed," Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman said.

Deputy constables said they recovered the stolen items as well as stolen patio furniture from another home. The patio furniture was disassembled in an attempt to conceal it, authorities said.

To help the victim, deputy constables reassembled the patio furniture when it was returned.

In a matter of seconds the thief makes her move and doesn't think twice about it taking a wreath off the door and welcome sign off the wall.
