HOUSTON – The search ended Saturday for a missing woman suffering from Alzheimer's disease in northwest Houston, according to the Houston Fire Department.
Pamela Sue Hughes, 66, was safely found about a mile away from where she was last seen in the 4000 block of Oak Shadows Drive, according to officers.

Houston firefighters said she was in good condition, but they took Hughes to the hospital for a precautionary evaluation.
Police said she was wearing gray pajama pants and a red T-shirt when she went missing Friday night. Hughes is an African-American woman around 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 100 pounds.
Texas Equusearch joined the Houston Police Department's search for Hughes after being called upon by the woman's family.
