Thief holds up 2 Pasadena businesses minutes apart

Both robberies were committed on the same day

Pasadena – Pasadena police are looking for a thief who they say robbed two businesses on the morning of April 21.

The first robbery was at the Check’n Go loan store at 1000 Pasadena Blvd. The business had just opened at 10:30 a.m. when the thief walked, pulled out a gun and demanded cash from the drawer, police said.

An employee gave him money, and the thief left on foot.

The second robbery was reported minutes later at the Metro PCS cellphone store at 1641 Pasadena Blvd.

The man walked up to the counter and demanded money from the register, police said. An employee gave him cash, and the thief left the store.

Police released surveillance images of the man whom they say committed both robberies.
