Henry Yau, of Houston, said he took a photo of the staircase in the lobby, but when he looked at the photo the next day, he noticed an eerie figure at the top. He said he didn't see it when he took the photo initially.

The NBC affiliate in Denver contacted the Southeastern Paranormal Investigative Research and Information Team, or SPIRIT, to analyze the picture. Paranormal expert Kevin Sampron said that he and his team determined that the image did not look digitally altered and that there seems to be another ghostly figure.

"When we blew up the picture, we immediately saw a second anomaly just to the left of the figure," Sampron said in an interview with KUSA. "To us it looks like the first figure is a lady dressed in black, and to the left of her looks like a child."

The Stanley Hotel is famously known to be haunted. It was used as inspiration to Stephen King's "The Shining."
