KATY, Texas – It's not just April Fool's Day. It's also April "Pools" Day!
Safe Kids of Greater Houston joined a few other local businesses to host an April Pool's Day event.

The program is designed to kick off water safety awareness month in Texas, prevent drowning and inspire kids of all ages to take water safety seriously.
Memorial Hermann Katy and Katy Aquatics teamed up to host the April Pool's Day event.
Our very own Jennifer Bauer also helped out with the event.
Safety experts say it's important to know that drowning doesn't only happen in pools — it can happen wherever there is water.
