Masked crook steals Christmas package

Victim says child booster seat was stolen

FORT BEND COUNTY, Texas – The Grinch of Lakemont Shores was caught on a homeowner's surveillance camera. In the video, the thief looks more like a character from a horror film than Dr. Seuss, because the criminal runs to the front door wearing a "Scream" mask.

In the video captured in front of a home in the Lakemont Shores area near Katy, a car pulls up to the victim's house and the suspect jumps from the back seat wearing a "Scream" mask.

In the video, the crook is wearing a '90s thriller costume all for the sake of stealing a package on the front steps.

Homeowner Steve Ngo caught the theft on camera.

"They got away with a child booster seat for my 11-month-old nephew who is celebrating his first Christmas," Ngo said.

He says the package was delivered just two hours before the thieves made off with it.

"The monetary side of it is disappointing but these thieves just ruined an 11-month-old's Christmas," Ngo said.

Now, police are looking to find the silver four-door Marquis as seen on surveillance footage.
