1 teen dead, 1 injured after shooting at NW Harris County apartment, police say

One teen is dead and another is injured after a shooting at an apartment complex in northwest Harris County on Saturday night.

Investigators say they arrived at the apartments at 2100 Place Rebecca around 10:30 p.m. and found a 16-year-old dead and a 15-year-old with non-life-threatening injuries.

According to police, the teens were at home, went outside and several shots were fired. Both of the teens ran back to their respective homes. After they ran back to their homes, police were called.

At this time there isn’t much of a description of the possible shooters. Some witnesses told deputies they saw two men in hoodies run away from the scene.

Investigators say they are checking surveillance cameras in the area. They’re asking anyone with any information to contact Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
