SAN LEON, Texas – A 73-year-old San Leon man was arrested and charged after gunning down a younger man in the middle of a street, according to the Galveston County Sheriff's Office.
Wilmer Brillhart was charged with homicide.
Deputies said Brillhart called 911 Saturday reporting that he had shot someone in the 900 block of 27th Street.

Deputies arrived to find a 31-year-old man lying dead in the road. The victim had been shot multiple times.
Brillhart allegedly told deputies he and the victim had disputes in the past, and the shooting was in self-defense. Officers found a .38 revolver in Brillhart's possession.
Charges were filed against Brillhart, and his bond was set at $100,000.
