14-year-old driver rescued from crash

Car burst into flames after crash

SAN JACINTO COUNTY, Texas – A 14-year-old girl who crashed a car she was driving in San Jacinto County is recovering in the hospital.

The girl was driving on 945 North at about 7:45 p.m. Sunday when she lost control and hit several trees.

The car came to a stop in the middle of oncoming traffic.

Family members coming from church happened to be passing by and saw the crash. They stopped and pulled the teen from the wrecked car moments before it burst into flames.

The teen was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital.

Officials have not said if the 14-year-old was licensed to drive a car.
