3 men wanted in home invasion

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police are looking for three men who forced their way into a Sugar Land home.

Sugar Land police said one of the men knocked on the door of a home in the 13000 block of Brookside Drive about 9:45 a.m. Feb. 8 and claimed to be from a lawn company.

The woman answered the door and a man pulled out a gun, investigators said. The man and two others forced their way into the house, officials said.

"My wife tried to close the door, but she couldn't do it," said the woman's husband, who requested he not be identified. "They pushed her in and hold the gun on her head."

Detectives said the woman was forced to the floor, tied up and hit in the head with a gun. She suffered minor injuries and refused medical treatment, officials said.

The men demanded money and asked the woman when her husband would get home, police said. The woman's husband owns a vending machine company and has been known to take large amounts of money home, officials said.

Investigators said the men left the home with an undisclosed amount of cash and jewelry before the woman's husband got home. They got away in a dark-colored sedan, officials said. The subdivision's security cameras caught images of the car leaving the area.

The family said they were installing security cameras at their home.

The man who knocked on the door was described as Hispanic and in his 20s. He was last seen wearing a dark red hooded sweatshirt, a white shirt and blue jeans.

One of the other men was described as Hispanic with a pale complexion, in his mid-20s and about 5 feet 10 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, a black beanie hat and a diamond earring in his right ear.

A physical description of the third man was not released, but police said he was last seen wearing blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
