H-E-B Recipe: Mama Tang's Spicy Beans

HOUSTON – Serves 2-4


3            cans pinto beans (drained and rinsed)    
¼ c.       Brown Sugar(packed)
1           blt.Mama Tang's Spicy Marinade
½        small red onion
½           lb.  bacon ( diced )

1.    In large 3 qt. pot, on med-high heat, cook bacon to desired crispiness.  Add red onions and cook for another 2-3 minutes then add brown sugar and caramelize bacon and onions for 2-3 minutes.
2.     Add beans and Mama Tang's to pot and bring to a rolling boil then lower heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes or to desired consistency.

Option* use Mama Tang's sweet marinade.
