BERLIN, Mass. – A curious raccoon is back on the ground after being trapped on top of a utility pole for several days.
Neighbors say they called the power company along with police, and posted pictures about the critter on social media when he was first spotted Thursday morning.
Rescuers placed bales of hay around the pole and even shut off the power- Â in case the raccoon decided to jump.
They saved the critter, but the Animal Rescue League says the raccoon will be taken to a wildlife rehabilitation center because he looked injured and dehydrated.
