Resilience IPA beer to be brewed at several Houston-area breweries

100 percent of beer sales will be donated to Camp Fire Relief Fund

HOUSTON – Several Houston-area breweries are among more than 1,000 across the country that will brew Resilience Butte County Proud IPA and donate 100 percent of beer sales to relief efforts for the deadly northern California fires.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. created Resilience to support the Camp Fire relief efforts. The brewery said on its website, "We are working with malt, hop and yeast suppliers to provide raw ingredient donations to all participating breweries and are asking those breweries to donate 100 percent of their sales to the fund, as well."

Karbach Brewing Co. and Saint Arnold Brewing Co. in Houston; Bearded Fox Brewing Company in Tomball; Wicked Boxer Brewing in Cypress, and Baa Baa Brewhouse in Katy will all brew Resilience IPA.

Sierra Nevada, based in Chico, California, said its goal is to get Resilience IPA in every taproom across the country.

The Camp Fire in Northern California was declared 100 percent contained earlier this week, but the search for remains threatens to push the death toll over 85.

Here's a state-by-state list that Sierra Nevada is updating.

Today is a special day for our brewery. Today, we're brewing Resilience Butte County Proud IPA, and we are absolutely blown away to report that more than 1,000 breweries around the world are brewing it with us. 100% of the sales of this beer will be donated to the Camp Fire Relief Fund. Thank you to Sheriff Kory Honea and all first responders, thank you to our employees, thank you to our community, and thank you to our incredible brewing industry. Humbled and grateful doesn't begin to describe it. #ResilienceIPA #ButteStrong #ButteCountyProud
