How to get a last-minute Thanksgiving meal delivered

HOUSTON – Whether you're still making your menu or you haven't even started thanksgiving preps, you are in luck this year. There are more options than ever to give you a hand in the kitchen. 

Consumer expert Amy Davis researched delivery services that you can dial up at the last minute to get a delicious Thanksgiving dinner on the table. 

If you are an Amazon Prime member, download the Prime Now app on your phone. On Thanksgiving day, you can order anything you need from Whole Foods up until 2 p.m. A roasted 10-pound turkey is $60. There are also plenty of sides to choose.

You can even get wine and beer delivered in case you run out. All orders $35 or more are delivered in 2 hours for free. Or pay $7.99 for one-hour delivery. 

On Thanksgiving day, Kroger's home delivery is available as late as 3 p.m. for $11.95. Grocery pick-up is $4.95 until 3 p.m. on the holiday. 

Omaha Steaks is closed on Thanksgiving; but you can stop by as late at 8 p.m. Wednesday to pick up turkey, steak, sides or pies. There's one in Town and Country Village and another location in Webster off I-45 and Bay Area Boulevard. 

They've got a savory Thanksgiving dinner for four for $49.99. If you order any of the meals online Monday, they can ship it second-day or overnight delivery to get it to you in time for the big day. 

Door Dash, Favor, Grub Hub and Uber Eats will all be available for delivery on Thanksgiving, but they can only deliver from businesses or restaurants that are open.
