'Person of Interest' in Highland Park Shooting in Custody, Police Say A man identified as a “person of interest” in a deadly mass shooting at an Independence Day parade in Highland Park, Illinois, was taken into custody, police said on the evening of July 4. Robert “Bobby” E Crimo III, 22, was taken into custody “without incident” at approximately 6:30 pm following a manhunt involving multiple law enforcement agencies, police said. Footage by Ryan Lerman shows police apprehending a man in a vehicle, which matches a police description of the vehicle Crimo was driving, at an intersection on Westleigh Road.
