MISSOURI CITY, Texas – Deputies are searching for a suspect who has a felony warrant out of Brazoria County, Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday. Deputies said an FBCSO deputy was serving the suspect the warrant from another agency when he took off on foot in the 3300 block of Ivy Mill Lane. 2 men shot while sitting in vehicle in Alief; search for suspect underway: Police
HOUSTON – Police said they are searching for a suspect on the run after two men were shot while sitting in a vehicle in Alief Thursday morning. Officers said the shooting happened at Sea Shore Drive and South Kirkwood at around 12:30 a.m. According to police, the men were in the vehicle when a red Cadillac drove by, opened fire and sped off. Officers said one man was shot in the arm and treated at the scene. The other was shot in the leg and taken to the hospital, police said.
UPDATE: Coast Guard suspends search for missing man and woman near Seabrook after bodies matching description found
SEABROOK, Texas – The Coast Guard rescued a 13-year-old girl but ended its search for two other people in the water near Seabrook Wednesday afternoon after two bodies were discovered that matched the description of the missing boaters, officials announced. The Coast Guard said a boat crew arrived on-scene and rescued a 13-year-old girl who told them two other people were still missing. According to the Coast Guard, the missing boaters were a man in his early 60′s and a woman in her early 30′s. Officials said at about 8:27 a.m. Wednesday, a search crew found a body that matched the description of the missing man in this 60s. At about 3 p.m., officials found another body that matched the description of the missing woman in her 30s.
Coast Guard suspends search for boat carrying 4 adults, 3 children near Baytown
BAYTOWN, Texas – The Coast Guard, Baytown Fire Department, Harris County Sheriff’s Office and Houston Police Department have suspended the search for a boat carrying seven people in Cedar Bayou, just west of the U.S. Highway 146 bridge near Baytown. Chellsey Phillips, Sector Houston-Galveston command duty officer. After that report, the Coast Guard said communication was lost. Watchstanders issued a search with an Air Station Houston MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew and a Station Houston 29-foot response boat crew to search the area. Police arrest serial sex assault suspect accused of assaulting women at gunpoint
HOUSTON – The Houston Police Department said they arrested a suspected serial rapist with ties to the Greenspoint area at a Spring apartment complex Wednesday morning. The arrest of 28-year-old Brandon Jay Carter comes after a press conference Tuesday where officers asked for the public’s help in finding him. He uses a pistol, covers their eyes in different methods and uses ties to bound them during the sexual assault,” said HPD Investigator Reagan Daniel. Carter is expected to be charged on credit card abuse and sexual assault in this case. Carter was tied to another assault in July 2019 in 13000 block of Northborough, police said.
