A man in Harris County died Monday afternoon after possible exposure to cold temperatures, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office. This could mark the first weather-related death reported as the historic icy storm bears down southeast Texas. Deputies said a 60-year-old homeless man was found before noon at an overpass at Interstate 10 East at Sheldon Road. They said they believed the man died from the extreme weather conditions but they will conduct an autopsy. HOUSTON – The man an off-duty Harris County Sheriff’s deputy shot at during a suspected car break-in is now charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, authorities said Monday. Girlfriend claims self-defense in deadly shooting of boyfriend at NW Harris County home, officials say

HOUSTON A woman has been charged with murder after she told officials she killed her boyfriend in self-defense Tuesday evening at a home in northwest Harris County Tuesday, according to the Harris County Sheriffs Office. At around 5:45 p.m., Jonie Sablatura called 911 to report that she had shot her 41-year-old boyfriend, Aaron Conner, at a home in the 11200 block of Kirwin Lane. Deputies said Sablatura claimed she felt threatened by Conner during a verbal argument and had retrieved a pistol before shooting Conner multiple times. Deputies also found drugs at the scene but did not disclose which narcotics were seized. Another person who was inside the home at the time of the shooting is being questioned as a witness, Brown said.

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Deputies are investigating after two men were killed during a shooting at a northwest Harris County bar.The Harris County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a shooting at Headliners Bar around 2 a.m.Deputies say a large group of people were leaving the bar when someone started shooting.Deputies found one man shot to death on the driver's side of the vehicle, and another man shot on the passenger side.The man in the passenger seat was transported to the hospital where he later died.Deputies say a third person was shot in the hand, but is expected to survive.Investigators are looking through surveillance video in hopes of identifying the shooter.
