HCSO: Driver with flat tire hit, killed on North Freeway
HOUSTON – A driver with a flat tire was hit and killed on the North Freeway, according to investigators.
Investigators said a woman in a Honda Fit was traveling on the North Freeway near Airtex with a flat tire at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
They said a driver in a Jeep Wrangler crashed into her from behind and the SUV flipped onto its side.
The woman in the Honda died on the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was not hurt and investigators said they didn’t show signs of intoxication.
Investigators said they do not expect to file charges against the driver.
