Details are limited, but Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said deputies with Precinct 5 were called to a shooting at a home on Park Brook Drive near Park Wind Drive. That’s where responding officers said they found an unidentified man dead at the scene in front of the home.

According to HCSO Sgt. Michael Ritchie, officials are still trying to figure out how everything unfolded, but it started as a type of domestic dispute between two people.

The accused shooter, described only as a man, was detained by officers, but is cooperating with officers, and homicide detectives were called to the scene to assist with the ongoing investigation.

Witnesses tell officers the unidentified man who was shot did not live at the home, but knew people who did. It’s unclear, though, if this incident was self-defense or murder.
