HPD: Man fatally shot in southeast Houston on Broadway Street

HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a deadly shooting after officers were called to the 8400 block of Broadway Street around 1 a.m. Friday.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers arrived and found an adult man suffering from a gunshot wound. The Houston Fire Department responded and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Crime Scene Unit personnel and homicide investigators were called in to process evidence and work to determine what led up to the shooting. Neighbors in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots before police arrived.

No information on a suspect or suspects was immediately available.
