Man dies in hospital after being found shot near Cloverleaf, sheriff's office says

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A man is dead after deputies found him inside a vehicle with what was described as a possible gunshot wound Sunday in the 1100 block of Freeport Street, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the scene and located the adult male in the vehicle. He was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Crime scene investigators and homicide detectives were en route to the scene as the investigation got underway.
