KPRC 2 legal analyst Brian Wice is recognized as one of Texas' top criminal appellate attorneys.
A native of Hartford, Connecticut, Brian is a magna cum laude graduate of the University of Houston and received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center where he served on the Houston Law Review. Brian is a former adjunct professor at the University of Houston Law Center and is a frequent lecturer at legal seminars on the local, state, and national levels.
In his nearly four decades as a criminal defense attorney, Brian has represented such high-profile clients as former House Majority leader Tom DeLay, for whom he won an appellate dismissal of all charges, and two-time MVP and All-NFL running back Adrian Peterson. Brian assisted in passing legislation that enabled inmates who were wrongfully convicted based on junk science and junk scientists to challenge their convictions. Brian is also one of the special prosecutors in the securities fraud prosecution of Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton.
Brian has appeared on countless national network and cable news shows including the Today Show and Dateline NBC and regularly provides legal analysis on MSNBC.
Brian has served as an associate municipal court judge for the City of Houston, a visiting county criminal court at law judge, and as a Special Master for the Harris County Criminal District Courts.
When he is not practicing law or giving KPRC 2 viewers his take on cutting-edge legal issues, Brian is an avid golfer who also enjoys running at Rice University.
