Houston Rockets roll out red carpet for free agent Carmelo Anthony

HOUSTON – The Houston Rockets are rolling out the red carpet for one of the NBA's biggest free agents.

Former New York Knicks star Carmelo Anthony is in Houston Wednesday and met with Rockets officials at Toyota Center. The Rockets are tyring to persuade him to join James Harden and Dwight Howard in their quest for a third championship.

The Rockets even photoshopped Anthony into a Rockets uniform and put the picture up on the marquis of the Toyota Center. The interesting part about the photo is that Anthony is wearing the No. 7 on his jersey, which is currently Jeremy Lin's number.

Anthony gave Chicago the first shot Tuesday in the Windy City where he met with team officials.

Reports say Anthony will meet with Dallas Wednesday night.
