The Highland Park golf teams continue to climb the ladder on their way to the UIL Golf State Tournament. Both boys and girls Scots athletes helped lead their respective teams to the top of the standings at the UIL Regional Tournament at Tangle Ridge Golf Club in Grand Prairie last week.

The Highland Park Gold girls team finished second just behind Frisco Lebanon Trail while Highland Park Blue girls finished eighth. On the boys side, Highland Park Blue came up in first place over Texarkana Texas while Highland Park Gold took the third place slow over Lovejoy.

Highland Park had four boys finish in the top five at the tournament including Hudson Weibel (second, 71-72—143), Mack Duvall (tied for third), Joe Stover (tie for third), and Christian Clark (fifth). Also finishing as a top 20 performer was Key Coker (fourteenth).

The Highland Park girls were led by Sophie Beidiger who posted a runner-up individual finish while Landry Saylor finished fifth and Sarah Rogers finished Sixth.

With the State Tournaments only a few short weeks away, fans can expect Highland Park golfers to bring all that they have to the tournament in search of another State Title for their golf dynasty. Highland Park is currently a three-time defending State Champion.
