Record-Smashers - Northbrook Swimming
Another one bites the dust! The 100 free time of 50.06 from 1985 will be disappearing this year. Gadiel swam it tonight in 49.85. Not only that, but the boys 200 free relay that broke the record already this year broke it again tonight! Their new time is 1:47.94. Way to go guys! pic.twitter.com/zLMu84Jo8a— NHS Raider Aquatics (@nhs_aquatics) December 2, 2020
And ... another one bites the dust. Northbrook swimming is rewriting the record book every single time they get in the pool. Earlier this week Gadiel broke the 100-yard freestyle record from 1985, swimming it in 49.85 seconds, which snapped the previous record of 50.06. The 200-yard freestyle relay snapped their record, which was set earlier this year swimming it in 1:47.94.
Spring Woods Boys Soccer
On Thursday, December 3, TASCO released its preseason rankings. In Class 6A Region III, Spring Woods came in ranked at No. 8. This comes as no surprise with the success of the Tigers' program over the years. Spring Woods reached the Regional Finals in 2019, which was the last fully played season. Last year Spring Woods was 10-4-9 overall when the season was halted due to COVID-19.
Stratford Girls Soccer
Stratford Girls Soccer is coming off back-to-back solid seasons. In the past two years, Stratford has won 24 district matches and finished third and second, respectively. Stratford was the No. 9 team in Class 6A Region III preseason rankings released on Thursday, December 3.
