VIDEO: Cowboy, pup power help wrangle runaway cows at holiday event in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas – It took experienced cattle wranglers to get some wayward bovines under control in Texas.

The Salvation Army’s Holiday Red Kettle Donation Drive in Fort Worth kicks off every year with some longhorn steers.

The roundup at a local mall helps recruit volunteers and bell-ringers to man some 600 red kettles around the city.

This year, two fast steers broke away from the herd and headed across the parking lot.

A professional cowboy managed to round them up with some help from a hard-working cattle dog.

It's not the first time this annual event has gone wrong. One year, a cow ran into a plate glass window at a JCPenney store.
