Victim of rape, robbery shares her story

HOUSTON – A woman said she wants justice after she was attacked  in February.

The sexual assault took place inside of her apartment at the Bellfort Plaza in southeast Houston.

"The day after I moved in my cousin was helping me move boxes inside," she said. "There were a group of guys on the stairs and they asked me if I wanted any help. I said no, and went past them. I went to move my car and when I returned my door was locked. I walked inside and two guys forced me in."

The woman, along with her cousin, were both held at gunpoint and raped. Before leaving the apartment the men stole their purses and vehicles.

Two months later, police officers arrested John Anthony Hogan, 18, and charged him with aggravated sexual assault. Investigators are still looking for his accomplice.

"I'm worried that he might do this to someone else. I just want him found before it's too late," she said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Houston Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
