HOUSTON – Police are searching for the gunmen who shot and killed a man at a southwest Houston apartment complex Monday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, officers were called to an apartment at the Avalon at Royal Oaks apartments on Southlake Drive near Westheimer Road around 3:45 a.m.

The victim was found inside a first floor apartment and died at the scene. He has been identified as 33-year-old Timothy Royal Duncan.

According to police, a woman was also inside the apartment at the time of the shooting but survived.
