Driver shot after bar fight crashes into AT&T store

SPRING, Texas – Investigators said a driver shot after a bar fight crashed into a northwest Harris County AT&T store.

It started around 1:45 a.m. Friday when a man and woman were asked to leave the Lord Loudouns Pub at 4660 Louetta near Kuykendahl.

When they left, officers said they got into a Hyundai and the man driving tried to run over some people in the parking lot. Two people pulled out guns and shot at the driver four to six times, police said.

The driver, Ross Warax, 24, was hit and took off, driving in the wrong direction on Louetta, authorities said. The man collapsed and crashed into an AT&T store about a 1/4 mile away, where he was pronounced dead.

According to officials, the man's female passenger, who was kicked out of the bar with him, suffered minor injuries from the accident and was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Authorities interviewed 10 to 15 witnesses at the scene.

"We are conducting this as a homicide investigation. We have identified two subjects that may have been discharging their firearm down there," said Sgt. Ben Beall with the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

Jamal Turner, 22, and Chad Kilpatrick, 23, has been arrested and charged with murder.
