HOUSTON – A driver was killed in a two-car crash in southwest Houston.
Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, a driver in a SUV was headed west on Westheimer Road. Police said as she started to turn left onto Rodgerdale, a driver in a green SUV traveling east on Westheimer ran the red light and slammed into her.

The 43-year-old driver of the SUV died at the scene.
Police said alcohol did not play a role in the crash, and no charges are expected to be filed.
The drivers' names were not immediately released.
