Roger Clemens headlines Kansas Stars in 82nd National Baseball Congress World Series

HOUSTON – Roger Clemens is one of 24 former major leaguers named to the Kansas Stars, who will compete in the 82nd National Baseball Congress World Series next month.

The Stars pool play games will be Aug. 6 at 9:30 p.m., Aug. 8 and Aug. 10, both at 7 p.m. All games will be played at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium in Wichita, Kansas.

Joining Clemens are Tim Hudson, Ben Sheets, Roy Oswalt, Dan Uggla, Josh Beckett, Brad Penny, Jason Isringhausen, J.D. Drew, Jack Wilson, Brandon Inge, Nate Robertson, Adam LaRoche, J.D. Drew, Dan Uggla, Jack Wilson, Koyie Hill and Ryan Kohlmeier.

The NBC World Series is the third-largest event and the oldest continuous sporting event in Wichita.
