HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A second man was arrested and charged Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of a smoke shop clerk in Cypress.
Karlos Alvarado was booked into the Harris County Jail on a capital murder charge. He is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 2 to have an attorney assigned.

Sergio Gil, 22, is also charged with capital murder. He was arrested Sunday in connection with the shooting at the Farm Road 529 Smoke Shop on Spencer Road and Lakeview Haven Drive.
Gil was in court Wednesday morning for his probable cause hearing in the killing of 44-year-old Ziauddien Khan on Saturday night.
