Driver arrested after crashing into off-duty officer

HOUSTON - Police arrested a man that crashed into an off-duty officer then tried to drive off.

It happened Monday at around 8am in front of Aldine Middle School in north Harris County. Deputies say a red pickup truck rear-ended an off-duty officer on his way to work. The pickup tried to drive off, but the officer cut him off.

When the driver realized it was a police officer he gave up and the officer arrested him.

No one was injured in the crash.
