KATY, Texas - A $5,000 reward was offered Monday for information leading to the arrest of two men who stole televisions from a Katy Walmart Supercenter and beat an employee.

According to Fort Bend County sheriff deputies, the two men placed two flat-screen televisions into a cart, covered them with a blanket and then walked out of the store in the 5600 block of State Highway 99 at Bellaire on Nov. 30.

After putting the televisions into a black Chevrolet vehicle, the suspects began to leave the parking lot, deputies said.  A store associate tried to get the license plate and vehicle description, but the suspects drove up beside him. One of the suspects jumped out of the car and beat the employee, knocking him to the ground, officials said.  The suspects then fled the scene.

Investigators said the suspect who attacked the Walmart associate was identified as Dytedric Fortune, 19, of Houston.  He is believed to be in the Houston area.

The second suspect has not been identified.  He is black, between 18 and 25 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall and has long, braided hair.  He was wearing an orange Texas Longhorn sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Fort Bend Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS (8477).
