PASADENA, Texas – The Pasadena Police Department is involved in the investigation into the deadly New Year’s Eve tragedy in New Orleans.

While celebrating on Bourbon Street, a driver of a pickup truck rammed into a crowd of people, killing 10 and injuring more than 30 more.

The pickup truck had Texas license plates, according to three senior law enforcement officials briefed on the investigation.

KPRC 2 asked the Pasadena PD for a comment. We received the following statement:

“Pasadena PD will not be commenting on anything involving FBI investigation.”

When KPRC 2 called the Pasadena PD dispatch center, dispatchers told our team that they were given instructions to not speak on the FBI situation.

It’s unclear how the Pasadena Police Department is involved in the investigation.
