Woman charged, wanted in connection to deadly February shooting that left 21-year-old dead

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – A woman has been charged in connection to a deadly shooting which left a 21-year-old dead in February.

The Harris County Sheriff’s Office says Joikeira K. Keys, 25, is charged with murder in connection to the shooting death of Ashley Holmes, 21.

Holmes was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound by Harris County Precinct 4 deputies at a home in the 22300 block of Doubletree Park Drive back on February 8.

The sheriff’s office said the alleged shooter left the home before deputies arrived. There were three other adults inside the home at the time of the shooting, but they were unharmed.

While Keys has been charged, she has not been arrested yet and authorities ask anyone who may know her whereabouts to contact the sheriff’s office at 713-274-9100 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
