Woman arrested, accused of intentionally biting paramedic providing her with medical care

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – The Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Office said a woman has been arrested, accused of biting a paramedic who was providing her with medical care.

According to the constable’s office, on Dec. 20, deputies responded to the 7100 block of Foxbrick Lane in reference to a welfare check. Upon arriving, deputies discovered a woman, identified as Maria Calderon, was in need of medical care.

The constable’s office said an ambulance was on scene and while paramedics were providing medical care to her, she intentionally bit a paramedic on the arm causing pain and discomfort.

She was transported to a local hospital. Constable Deputies contacted the District Attorney’s Office and a warrant was obtained.

On Dec. 22, constable deputies responded to the 7100 block of Foxbrick Lane and apprehended her and confirmed the warrant.

She was booked into the Harris County Jail on a charge of assault of a public servant. Her bond and court information have not been set at this time.
