Vehicle found in pond after residents hear gunshots in north Harris County

HOUSTON – Investigation is underway after a call to police about gunshots led authorities to a pond in north Harris County where a car was submerged underwater.

Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said they were called about the gunshots at around 12:30 a.m. Then, they received information about the submerged vehicle.

The HCSO dive team went into the pond on Silver Ranch Road near Silver Memorial and were able to locate the vehicle.

Officials said at this point, they have not found anybody inside the vehicle or in the water.

HCSO investigators also said that the car was not reported as stolen.
