BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas – Deputies with Brazoria County Precinct 4′s Constables Office announced the death of their K9 deputy on Thursday.

According to a Facebook post, K9 Keeper was recently hit by a vehicle and succumbed to his injuries.

“Keeper was a wonderful part of our Precinct 4 family and was deeply loved by all the members of our agency. He was a hard-working, loving dog that could brighten the room with his high-energy personality,” the post read.

Keeper was reportedly buried by fellow deputies at the sheriff’s office.

It is unclear how Keeper was hit or if anyone faces charges at this time.
