‘Secure hold’ lifted at C. E. King High School after 2 bullets found on campus

HOUSTON – C.E. King High School in Sheldon ISD lifted its “secure hold” Thursday after two bullets were found in the campus hallway.

According to the district’s PIO, no weapons were found and students stayed in classrooms until the investigation was finished.

During the investigation, officials were able to discover the source of the bullets found in the hallway and will be taking disciplinary action.

Sheldon ISD released the following statement regarding the incident:

“Thank you for your patience as we worked to investigate. We have communicated with our families that the security procedure has been lifted. No weapon has been found or threat of any kind, and school is resuming as normal. As part of the investigation, we have discovered the source from the bullets found in the hallway and will be taking disciplinary action. We are encouraging families to talk to their children at home about appropriate items to bring to school.”
