Students at Clear Creek ISD return to the classroom this week

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – Students at Clear Creek ISD returned to the classroom this week.

Monday was the first day for Pre-K, Kindergarten, early childhood special education, and 6th through 9th-grade students. Tuesday marked the first day of school for all other grade levels.

This is the 26th year of the Robotics Program at CCISD. The district recently completed work on the robotics competition center inside of the Learner Support Center. Clear Creek ISD is currently the only district in the area with a space specifically allocated for robotics events.

Robotics and Engineering Program Manager James Jobe said that the district currently has 135 robotics teams across 43 campuses. Jobe said that the program is available for students in 4th thru 12th grade and helps students of all ages develop a vast array of skill sets.

“The kids are learning to work together, they are learning teamwork,” said Jobe. “We also have a big focus on outreach and assisting other teams.”
