HOUSTON – A car crashed into a shoe store Thursday morning in southeast Houston.
The crash was reported about 10 a.m. at the Skechers Outlet store at 8460 Gulf Freeway.
An employee of the store said he was walking to the cash register just after the store opened when he heard a loud bang. He jumped out of the way as the car crashed through a window, narrowly missing him.
The employee said the driver of the car seemed to be confused, and he helped her turn off the car to keep it from traveling farther into the store.
The store will be closed while workers repair the damage.
No serious injuries were reported.
